1.) meth. was a Japanese Visual kei band from Nagoya that formed in 2006. They disbanded after their final one-man show at Nagoya Music Farm on September 4th 2010.

History: meth. was a Japanese visual kei rock band formed in Nagoya in September 2006. The original lineup consisted of vocalist SHIKI, bassist Yuuya, and drummer Sora. The band played its first live performance on October 26, 2006, at HeartLand STUDIO in Nagoya and soon began establishing itself within the local visual kei scene. Their early releases included the single Aoku Hatenai Sekai, issued in 2007, followed by a second press edition later that year.

In February 2007, guitarist Kill joined the group, completing the band's first stable four-member lineup. During this period meth. increased its live activity and released a series of recordings, including THE MASS., JUDGMENT #001, and the double A-side single by all means / BELIEVER. The band also appeared in visual kei publications such as Cure magazine and performed outside their hometown, including a live at Shibuya CHELSEA HOTEL in Tokyo. In March 2008 they released the single SARCASTIC VICE.

A major lineup change occurred in June 2008 when bassist Yuuya departed. Following his exit, the remaining members adopted new stage names, with SHIKI becoming akito, Kill becoming tomoya, and Sora retaining a variation of his original name as sora. As a three-piece, meth. continued activities and released the mini-album THE OLD ONE ENDS, IT BECOMES BRAND NEW in August 2008. They also participated in the omnibus release Shock Edge 2008 and appeared on ZEAL LINK's 2009 New Year special DVD.

In June 2009, bassist AkN joined the band, restoring meth. to a four-member lineup. The group continued performing and releasing material, including the single at WILL and later CAN'T COME BACK in 2010. They also appeared in Cure and Vijuttoke, further strengthening their presence within the visual kei underground.

After nearly four years of activity, meth. held its final live performance at Nagoya MUSIC FARM on September 4, 2010, and officially disbanded the same day.

Five years later, the band reunited for a one-day revival concert on October 12, 2015, at ell.SIZE in Nagoya. The reunion lineup featured vocalist akito, guitarist tomoya, drummer sora, and bassist Seiya. No further activities were announced following the commemorative performance.

2.) meth. is a noisy metal band from Chicago currently signed to Prosthetic Records. Their frontman, Sebastian Alvarez, delivers searing, relentless vocals alongside the band's intense, ambient tunes.
