Ferrum Dei is the Orlando-based industrial project of The Zebu. Originally starting out in 2005 as a darker, experimental, sampling-oriented side project of Nerds Anonymous, it gradually incorporated influences from industrial and EBM.

The first compiled album, Vitavi, was a 14-track demo featuring an array of various style experiments, ranging from dark ambient and neoclassical, to noise, trance, and Terror EBM.

The second release, Sanguinea, was completed in early 2007. Following a style of melodic harsh electro-industrial, it had a far more beat-driven, coherent sound than previous work; many of the tracks containing vocals in the style of aggrotech.
