Magefa

Formed in Frankfurt, Germany, in 2014, Magefa (named after the Hebrew word for "plague") is a crushing extreme metal outfit that bridges the gap between old-school death metal and modern groove-heavy brutality. Deeply inspired by legendary acts like Carcass, Bolt Thrower, and Death, the band—featuring vocalist/guitarist Kevin, bassist Thorsten, and drummer Kai—built their foundation on clinical, surgery-obsessed lyricism and devastating jackhammer grooves.

Magefa steadily forged their underground presence through relentless regional gigs and a series of independent releases, including the New Era of Darkness (2019) and Exenteration (2021) EPs. Seamlessly integrating elements of thrash, deathcore, and grinding beatdowns into their infectious, riff-driven sound, the trio continues to expand their ruthless sonic assault, most recently showcased by the release of punishing modern anthems like their 2026 single "Legion".
