Static Dread is an Electronic / Metal / Experimental solo project hailing from Birmingham, Alabama, created by Jacob Taylor. Static Dread employs elements of Industrial Metal, Darkwave, and Gothic Rock, with influences from the likes of Skinny Puppy, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, Iggy Pop, and The Cure. Lyrical themes range from Self-loathing and Dysphoria, to dark narratives, like vengeful murder.
Static Dread released their debut EP, "Lower", on August 6th, 2016. You can listen to their music at https://staticdread.bandcamp.com/releases.
