Paps

There are at least 3 artists sharing the name Paps:

1. Stéphane Papin

Stéphane Papin from France, active in the minimal psychedelic scene from 1999 to 2002, producing some real gems in that time. Quoting from mushroom online: "First time Paps attacked was in 1999, when TIP rec successfully released his « digital Ash/ Vibes from the other side » EP which became in a few days one of the hits of this season. Since this time, Paps has been keeping busy and quickly became a respeced and acclaimed producer/dj.

His music was released on maxi by Hadshot in Israel, Creamcrop in Denmark as well as compilations from ZMA, Flow, Creamcrop, Hadshot…

The Paps' sound has been always evoluting for the last years thanks to a killer production and his very unique musical feeling : something special, experimental, sometimes full-on, sometimes psychedelic, always burning the floors where his sound is played.

Paps has his personal style : driving basslines, powerful rythm structures, synthetic atmospheres with trippy noises and mental effects.

Track after track, the Paps' sound is becoming deeper, looking for more harmony from his crazy influences to a more progressive skill.

Paps is also collaborating on other projects, like TRIPIATRIK together with YUMADE and also producing tracks together with Dhya from Droidlock.

Since his first maxi, Paps spent lots of time playing around Europe, Japan and USA where his dj sets shown his eclectic vision of today's night party music.

That's also why he is the sound engineer from the DATABASS artistic platform, Maybe this guy has bionic ears? !"
