Dentata

Dentata erupted onto Toronto’s music scene in 2009 with raw energy and chaotic performances. Led by Dana Dentata , with Tamsen on bass and Alex on guitar, the all-girl band set out to challenge the sea of bros in bands that dominated the scene.

Known for their wild live shows—featuring a coffin with a vagina, snakes, tampons, and of course, barbies and blood —Dentata captivated audiences with a spectacle they couldn’t look away from.

Though their debut album was shelved, the band’s unforgettable energy lives on. Now, 15 years later, their unreleased music and iconic photos are finally being unleashed. Dentata was messy, wild, and impossible to forget. Welcome back to the madness.
