Dwell in Solitude

Dwell in Solitude is an atmospheric/depressive post-black metal project started by L in 2018, joined by M who recorded vocals for the first songs before leaving due to personal issues later during the same year. The first ideas were written during the cold dreadful winter of 2015 as repetitive, almost droning, riffing but then evolved into something more rich and diverse over time, ending up mixing depressive, blackgaze, raw black and even some jazzy stuff. Music and lyrics deal with depression, alienation and the sense of not belonging to this place; nihilism and hopelessness permeates the atmospheres and are the main theme of the compositions. The first EP “Doomed to Live Without Reason” was released digitally on bandcamp the 23rd of January 2019 shortly followed by the EP “The End (of Sorrow)” released on 24th April of the same year.
