Sieta

Sieta is a Slavic folk metal band from Moscow, Russia. It was formed of musicians from Skyglow and Critical Extravasation in 2018. Its debut album "Novgorod" was recorded in 2019 – 2020 and mixed by Holy Tube Studio and released in 2021 on the Italian label Earth And Sky Productions. The album tells about the baptism of Novgorod in 991. The concept of the album is the contrast between paganism and Christianity, which is shown with alternating folk and black metal and also ancient Russian and Old Church Slavonic languages. The main source of inspiration were Moonsorrow, Forefather and Bathory on the musical side and Nokturnal Mortum, Темнозорь and Аркона on the lyrical side.
