Nigh Ungodly

A technical/progressive death metal outfit based in the US, Nigh Ungodly exhibit an eclectic style, often utilizing odd and frequently-changing time signatures and tempos, with influences ranging from technical death metal, progressive metal, melodic death metal, mathcore, grindcore, technical deathcore, and more.

Nigh Ungodly was founded by Vanna Dillinger (guitarist) and Shawn Mills (vocalist) in January 2019. Their first single “Writhing Identity” was released June 2019 as a teaser for the upcoming EP, Mimic Prophecy. September, guitarist/keyboardist Katy Leanne was added. November, their second single "Aberrant Silhouette" was released as a B-side. December 10, they released a fully re-imagined metal cover of the classic holiday tune "Last Christmas"—originally performed by WHAM!—just in time for the holidays. June 2020, Fleshbore bassist Cole Daniels joined the group.
