Insect Plasma

Insect Plasma are an Electro Wave Group having it's roots in the 80s Dark Wave and EBM / Industrial. Their sound combines electronic rhythms, throbbing basslines, spherical Guitars and hart riffs to a gritty soundscape that contrast with catchy melodies.

Insect Plasma are Holger (Guitar) and Oliver (Vocals, Synthesizer & programming)

Insect Plasma was formed in 1991 by Oliver (former Phobia IV) and Stephan.

The sound was intensely inspired by the early Human League and Trisomie 21, as well as by Front 242, Cassandra Complex, Invincible Spirit and Skinny Puppy of the end eighties.

The upcoming nineties influenced the dark sound to become faster, harder and boppy.

1995 Stephan quit and Ralph joined the group. Ralph affected the sound and the songs to become yet harder and more complex. Radio and Music journals became aware of Insect Plasma.

2001 Ralph and Oliver split to focus on their side projects (T.D.O., Projct Silent Buzzer, Unit-731).

2007 Oliver resumed working on new material for Insect Plasma Re-Loaded.

2012 guitarist Holger (former The Bloom) and keyboarder/background singer Katja joined. Three official download albums containing revised songs of the time from 1991 to 2008 have been released.

2013 Katja quit and switched to Maid Of Skerr as a lead singer. Former group member Ralph died after a long illness. Insect Plasma started working on a new album. Holger put a rocking note to the electronic sound.

2014 Holger plays guitars for Defekt 86 at the same time. Some joint gigs at Germany and France follow. The album "Brute Force Attack" is realeased on Halloween.

2015 the group played some gigs to promote the album. New album is works in Progress.

2017 Release of the album "Shadows" and the video clip and single "a trip beyond the flesh".
