Geraldo PMJ

Geraldo Pereira de M. Jr. born in Ipatinga, a small city located at Minas Gerais, Brazil.

He won a guitar in 2007 when he was 13 years old. Since he already liked rock through her sister's influence, he decided to buy a guitar. He learned to play guitar, guitar, bass and keyboard all by himself. He was initially influenced by Jimi Hendrix, later by B.B. King, his main influence in early. Later he discovered metal bands like Iron Maiden and Rammstein and started to focus his learning on guitar technics used in metal. His incessant search for great metal guitarists as influence led him to meet Yngwie Malmsteen, Dimebag and Michael Angelo Batio.

He moved to Belo Horizonte in 2013 to begin his studies in Anthropology and Archeology at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. At that time he listened to Burzum for the first time. Eager to learn new things, the Burzum project influenced him to learn to record, edit and produce songs at home, which resulted in his first album Wotan's Wisdom, which was recorded and produced in only 2 days, a result of the addiction that Geraldo has when he is learning something new (he practiced guitar for 14 hours in a day when he was in the beginning of learning). The album Wotan´s Wisdom is the interpretation of what Geraldo understood of Norse mythology, a subject that has interested him since he was a child.
